Spotify predicts Sia and Iggy Azalea will win Grammys

One of music’s biggest nights, the 57th annual Grammy Awards, will take place on February 8th and to celebrate, Spotify has released data to predict who will take home a Grammy in four of the night’s top categories: Album Of The Year, Record of The Year, Song of The Year and Best New Artist.
To predict the winners, Spotify compiled global data on the top streamed songs, albums and artists in each of the categories. Additionally, Spotify analyzed the listening habits of its 60 million users worldwide to look at the most viral songs, albums, and artists in those categories to predict the possible “dark horses.”
Sia’s Chandelier was the most streamed song globally in the Record and Song Of The Year categories, additionally ranking most viral in the Record Of The Year category. Hozier’s Take Me To Church is the most viral song in the Song Of The Year category. For Album Of The Year, Ed Sheeran’s X was the most streamed album, with Pharrell Williams’ G I R L being the most viral. In the Best New Artist category, Ed Sheeran was the most streamed artist and Bastille was the most viral* artist.
