Sounds Australia announces CLOSE UP digital music showcase
12 Australian artists will perform live for new Sounds Australia virtual showcase format CLOSE UP, as part of the forthcoming All That Matters digital conference.
Traditionally held in Singapore, the All That Matters conference typically sees delegates from music, digital marketing, gaming and entertainment industries join from across Asia and the Pacific.
This year the conference goes virtual, and with Sounds Australia unable to hold THE AUSSIE BBQ in person, the industry body will instead hold a new showcase format CLOSE UP.
The showcase will take place on Tuesday, September 15, featuring 12 Sounds Australia alumni artists who’ve previously showcased at Music Matters, Singapore or Nokia Music Connects, Mumbai.
Ball Park Music, Cub Sport, Kate Miller-Heidke, Sheppard and Slumberjack are just some of the names set to perform across three packages created during isolation and lockdown.
As part of the All That Matters conference, Sounds Australia’s digital export producer Dom Alessio will moderate a panel on Working With Neighbours: Strengthening Music Partnerships across Australasia.
He’ll be joined by Kate Ben-Tovim (Turning World), Keith Tan (CD Baby), Nate Flagrant (Flagrant Artist Management) and Wenona Lok (Imagikai).
Delegate passes are now available from the All That Matters website for $99, with Sounds Australia offering a 50% discount for a limited number of Aussie music industry professionals.
