Gold Coast producer Paces launches Off Leash Records [exclusive]
After stints with indie and major labels, Mike Perry has launched Off Leash Records.
Perry, the Gold Coast record producer and musician best known as Paces, has teamed with global independent Believe for marketing and distribution support.
The label promises an artist-friendly approach, with an inventive pop music roster curated by Perry, and a focus on discovering emerging Australian and New Zealand talent.
“I’m so excited about launching this record label,” he said.
“One of my favourite things about music is discovering new artists and figuring out how we can combine our skillsets to make something new and unique.
“With the world in a shambles at the moment, it actually feels like the perfect time to build something positive from the ground up.”
The label’s new manager Ben Robinson said he’s seen the producer’s A&R chops first hand.
“From discovering and collaborating with acts such as Tkay Maidza, Kucka, Jess Kent and Nyne, I have no doubt Mikey will build something special and unearth incredible talent,” he said.
The first release on Off Leash Records will be the new Paces track ‘Dear Driver’ on June 5, which features vocals from Sydney singer-songwriter MUKI.
Paces has previously released records through Island Records Australia and etcetc.
