Dean Lewis beats Post Malone & P!NK to win radio’s most added
A thrilling week of additions has seen Dean Lewis emerge victorious over international competition from radio heavyweights Post Malone and P!NK.
‘Straight Back Down’ was granted a red hot start thanks to Triple M (ATB), but slowed down midweek as Nova and Hit allowed Post and P!NK to surge ahead.
‘Circles’ was added on high rotation to triple j, while ‘Hurts 2B Human’ picked up strong support from adult radio stations 2DayFM and 97.3FM (ATB).
It was only in the eleventh hour, 4:57pm to be exact, that the tide would turn once again.
KIIS delivered last-minute ATB adds for Lewis for Sydney and Melbourne, sealing another most added win for the Australian.
All four singles from Lewis’ debut LP A Place We Knew have been #1 most added in their first week at radio, joining the likes of Taylor Swift who achieved the same feat only a fortnight ago.
The single also becomes the ninth from an Aussie artist to win the title in 2019.
