Sydney artist JAYS inks UK deal with Coda Agency [exclusive]

JAYS is making waves overseas, announcing today a new deal with Coda Agency.

Coda will look after the Aussie’s touring and live performances in the UK, with the deal coming off the back of his new single ‘Misfits’ being added to Capital FM.

The deal comes after JAYS joined TMRW Music for Australia in April.

“I’m really looking forward to working with Sol and the Coda Agency team,” JAYS tells TMN.

JAYS broke through on The X Factor Australia in 2012, and now, after years of carving out a solo career, he now joins fellow Aussies Sia, Matt Corby and Amy Shark at Coda Agency.

“Some of my all-time favourite artists such as Billie Eilish, Janet Jackson and Matt Corby are signed to Coda Agency so it’s really exciting to be able to join such a prestigious team,” he said.

“The X Factor really allowed me to overcome my fears of singing in front of people and build the confidence to be able to follow what I truly want to do.

“But as much as I lived for and loved my band, I am now finally able to mould my own music and sound the way I want to.”

The signing comes as Bombs Away drop their remix of ‘Misfits’, out today (July 5).

“There are many facets that are needed to create the perfect pop star,” said Coda agent Sol Parker.

“JAYS has all of them in spades. It really was a very simple decision whether or not we should take him on here at Coda. I think the world hasn’t seen anywhere near the best of JAYS yet.”
