SOTD: Byron duo Imbibe have a game winner with ‘Touchdown’
Featured as an upcoming act in the latest NME 100 list, Imbibe‘s brand of alt-pop is simply undeniable. New single ‘Touchdown’ is a shimmering jam that will have you singing and dancing along in no time.
Recorded with Grammy-nominated producer Will Hicks (Ed Sheeran), the brothers now call Berlin home after relocating from the northern NSW town of Byron Bay.
The move has ultimately worked wonders for the boys who have capitalised on their proximity to major touring circuits, opening for fellow Aussie and Berlin-based act Parcels for a run of UK dates including a sell-out show at London’s Roundhouse.
‘Touchdown’ was playlisted by Nova Late Nights a fortnight ago, and more recently, received the green light from SCA network show Collective Noun. It’s also getting traction in the UK with support from BBC Radio 1’s Future Sounds With Annie Mac.
