Strawberry Fields drops epic Carl Craig-headlining lineup for 10th year

With early bird and first-round tickets selling out in an hour, the Strawberry Fields festival is dropping an epic lineup to celebrate its 10th year in the NSW wildlands.

Detroit techno producer and experimentalist Carl Craig will headline.

The US contingent also includes Honey Dijon; Hollywood’s Hoj; Lonely C from Boston’s DJ and production duo Soul Clap; Oona Dahl; and Oakland Americana group Dirtwire.

From the UK are heavyweight, Sasha; Hessle Audio co-founder, Pearson Sound and South London artist Henry Wu also performing as part of Kamaal Williams.

The UK also supplies house producers/DJs Jimpster; techno producer Third Son; Manchester-born/London-based DJ and producer Willow; Ryan Lee West’s alias – Rival Consoles; the Radio 1 house DJ and queen of the Jackathon empties Heidi and slow-release stylist HAAi.

Leading the pack from Germany is ambient techno musician Move D; followed by Sydney-turned-Berlin export Bella Sarris; fellow Berliner Max Graef; electronic music producers Township Rebellion and Teutonic DJ odd couple Andhim.

Complementing the European roster are Belgian electronic music producer, composer and DJ Peter Van Hoesen; lo-fi house superstar DJ Seinfeld; Scandinavian melodic techno music group Minilogue and Red Light Radio co-founder Orpheu The Wizard.

Rounding up the international selects is one of Japan’s best and most respected spinners DJ Nobu; and Argentine Pedro Canales, aka DJ producer Chancha Via Circuito, one of the pioneers of the digital cumbia genre.

From Canada are Jayda G and Anstascia D’Elene Corniere and Vivie-ann Bakos’ Blond:ish, and from closer to home, New Zealander’s Out of Sorts.

The Australians include FBi Radio’s electronic music specialist Andy Garvey; PBS 106.7FM Smoke and Mirrors host CC:DISCO!; Melbourne’s original beat disciples 30/70;and krautback discothequer Wax’o Paradiso.

From Melbourne is house luminary DJ JNETT; future soul quartet Hiatus Kaiyote; LUNA-EXCHANGE comprising of jazz experimentalist Horatio Luna and drummer, Ziggy Zeitgeist; proggy art-pop band Jaala; jazz and neo-soul Kaiit; versatile purveyor Pjenné; The Public Opinion Afro Orchestra and The Senegambian Jazz Band who blend Afro-jazz, deep world music beats and funk.

Strawberry Fields stages on the banks of the Murray River in NSW’s Tocumwal, from November 16-18, celebrating art, music and the great outdoors.

There’ll be four major music areas, each showcasing a distinct personality through decor and musical offerings, in addition to a series of themed camps.

Final round tickets go on sale from Tuesday June 26.
