SAE masterclass with global sound engineer Blake Suib

SAE Creative Media Institute in Sydney is holding a free public masterclass with sound engineer Blake Suib.

Over a 35 year career, which began with working with The Police and learning on the job with Iggy Pop, he’s gone onto work with some of the world’s greatest artists

The session, Sound Advice: From The Studio To The Stadium, is on Thursday, May 31 from 6-8pm at SAE Sydney, 39 Regent Street, Chippendale.

SAE Sydney’s campus manager Radovan Klusacek said, “To have the best in the business of live sound presenting at SAE Sydney is not just an exciting opportunity for our students, it is a unique opportunity for anyone interesting in live music to hear first hand from one a world-class leader in audio engineering.”

The masterclass will incorporate a Q&A focused on Suib’s insights and industry experiences.

It is open to anyone interested in audio – from students to professionals.

Suib notes, “When I teach someone something they can practically use in the field, I know I have helped them reach their goals.

“I’ve had 30 years of experience working for some of the most demanding artists in the industry, but I still have the passion that comes with reproducing music the way the artist wants it to be heard.”
