UK/Euro booking deals for Manu Crook$, Amyl and The Sniffers

Two more Australian acts have landed themselves booking agency deals in the UK and Europe.

Coincidentally, both Sydney MC Manu Crook$ and Melbourne garage rock riffers Amyl and The Sniffers are showcasing at The Great Escape festival in the UK next month which could lead to more gigs.

Crooks, regarded as the new face of Australia hip hop has joined the roster of Primary Talent.

He will be repped by Craig D’Souza who spotted him during his Australian tour for one of his clients, Stormzy.

Crooks will be embarking on his first ever tour of Canada – playing Toronto, Calgary, Whistler, Edmonton and Vancouver in April and May before heading to the UK.

His’ first tour of Europe earlier this year saw him play packed clubs in Berlin, Paris, London, Athens and Thessaloniki.

He got tagged by Stormzy and A$AP Ferg, spins from Zane Lowe on Beats 1, and features in The Coveteur, Highsnobiety, The Fader and Clash Magazine.

While half of his YouTube videos have already hit the million mark on YouTube, the African Australian just released a video for ‘Different League’ shot in Paris and Sydney.

The Paris footage was filmed in January with French directors Aden Gauthier, Berko & Titan, and Hitsu Film.

The Sydney end was helmed by Julian Machuca and Tom Fletcher.

Machuca also filmed the videos for Manu’s first four film clips ‘Everyday’, ‘Blowin’ Up’, ‘Assumptions’ and Ridin”.

On the eve of some heavy duty international touring, Amyl and The Sniffers have signed with Panache Booking in the US (Mac DeMarco, Ty Segall, Oh Sees) and Coda Agency in the UK & Europe (The xx, Warpaint, King Krule, Kelela).

After making their international debut at The Great Escape in Brighton, they head to London for an in-store appearance at the Rough Trade store and an already sold-out headliner at The Lexington.

They open for fellow Melburnians King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard in the USA and Canada through 22 sold-out dates in May and June.

They just dropped a music video for ‘Cup Of Destiny’ which was shot outside the Melbourne Cricket Grounds on game night.

It shows singer Amy Taylor pushing her way through the post-game crowd with her mulleted band mates in tow.

The lo-fi black and white clip was conceived and created by Melbourne artist Ben Jones.

The video coincides with a run of pre-international shows:

Friday April 13: The Eastern, Ballarat

Tuesday April 24: The Landsdowne, Sydney

Friday April 27: The Foundry, Brisbane
