TMN Hot 100: Camila Cabello bolts to #1 as Bebe Rexha’s reign runs out
Camila Cabello’s ‘Never Be The Same’ has risen to the top of the TMN Hot 100 airplay chart after spending three consecutive weeks locked at #2. The single marks Cabello’s first ever Hot 100 chart-topper after coming close with ‘Havana’ (#2) at the back end of last year.
The second singleoff Cabello’s 2017 debut self-titled album, ‘Never Be The Same’ has been lurking closely behind Bebe Rexha’s ‘Meant To Be’ ft. Florida Georgia Line, which slips one frame this week.
Starting inJanuary, ‘Meant To Be’ had a commanding run of six straight weeks at the top, seeing off competition from Post Malone’s ‘I Fall Apart’ and Marshmello & Khalid’s ‘Silence’, as well as Cabello.
A recent surge in spins from metro Hit stations and KIIS 1065 Sydney produced enough momentum to pushher above Rexha this week. The latter shed ahandful of commercial spins across the country.
’Never Be The Same’ has also catapulted to the top of most state and territory charts in Australia, excluding Tasmania and South Australia/Northern Territory, as well as the non metro and contemporary hit radio charts.
