Hot 100 Fast Facts: August 11

The Top 3 get a reshuffle on this week’s TMN Hot 100, while a country crossover success story makes some solid ground.

Now on its fourth straight week at #1, Liam Payne’s ‘Strip That Down’ ft. Quavo refuses to budge. His buddy Niall Horan slips a spot to #3 as DJ Khaled swoops in to take his place (and a new peak) with the Rihanna-featured ‘Wild Thoughts’.

There are three other new peaks in the Top 10 this week as Jessica Mauboy, Rita Ora and Calvin Harris stake their claims.

Mauboy finds herself in the Top 5 with ‘Fallin’ after a seven-week stint in the chart, while Rita Ora’s ‘Your Song’ cements her place, jumping four spots to #6. It’s Ora’s highest ever position on the Hot 100, surpassing ‘How We Do (Party)’s peak of #7.

Country-turned-commercial radio single ‘Body Like A Back Road’ is smashing down barriers. Sam Hunt takes #12 from #18, leaving mainstream stayersLouis Tomlinson, David Guetta and Miley Cyrus behind.

‘Body Like A Back Road’ has even outperformed country Keith Urban’s commercial number ‘The Fighter’ ft. Carrie Underwood, which peaked at #15 on the Hot 100 in June 2016, while managing to hit#12 on TMN’s Country Chart.

Taking out Most Added last week, British popstar Dua Lipa’s ‘New Rules’ was destined to gain some serious radio airplay. Not suprisngly, it’s at #26 this week, crowning ’New Rules’as this week’s #1 Heatseeker with a rise of 30 places.
