As the One of One 10-year anniversary tour rolls on, the not-for-profit organisation dedicated to uplifting female and gender-diverse voices in the music industry has already made major waves with its first-ever event in Perth, while weather conditions prompted a date change for its Brisbane stop.

Launched in 2015, it has long been a vital force in Australia’s music ecosystem, creating inclusive spaces for women and gender non-conforming (GNC) individuals through thoughtfully curated events, community support, and public recognition. This year, the organisation is marking a decade of impact with a national breakfast tour, taking place in key cities including Perth, Darwin, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and now rescheduled Brisbane.

Following a successful launch in Boorloo/Perth on March 7, where the energy in the room was described as “incredible,” the tour has continued with keynotes, performances, and networking opportunities designed to foster both inspiration and allyship. However, the Brisbane event has now been postponed to April 16th due to the effects of Cyclone Alfred. It will still be held at The Triffid in Meanjin.

Organised by Sarah Hamilton, Joanna Cameron, and Bec Young, One of One has become known for its signature fully catered breakfast gatherings. These events have previously featured speakers and performers including Jen Cloher, Stella Donnelly, Emma Donovan, Deborah Cheetham AO, Becca Hatch, and Eliza Hull. The 2025 iteration continues this tradition of spotlighting trailblazing voices and celebrating the contributions of women and GNC professionals.

The tour also includes the presentation of scholarships and awards backed by leading music companies including Warner Music Australia, Mushroom Music, UNIFIED Music Group, GYROstream, and White Sky. This year’s events are not only a celebration but a call for continued investment in equity, visibility, and structural change within the industry.

Men in the music industry are encouraged to show their support by sponsoring tickets for female and gender-diverse colleagues, with One of One emphasising the importance of shared responsibility in creating an inclusive culture.

With its combination of community, recognition, and real-world impact, One of One’s 10-year anniversary tour stands as a reminder of how far the music industry has come—and how much further it can go.
