2024 UNIFIED Grant Recipients Announced

A new platform and revenue stream for artists, an initiative that hopes to reduce the environmental impact of physical soundcarriers, and an event series engaging men in action-oriented discussions on creating safer environments are among the five recipients of the 2024 UNIFIED Grant.

An initiative of UNIFIED Music Group, the UNIFIED Grant was launched in 2016 to help creatives to “unlock entrepreneurialism” and drive impact in the Australian music industry.

Announced today, this year’s class are:

All Men: a bi-monthly event series empowering men to take responsibility for gender equality and create safer, more inclusive environments through action-oriented discussions.

Create Racket: a platform that helps artists monetise their content through brand partnerships, shifting ad dollars from traditional influencers to musicians, DJs, and creatives.

Music Product Stewardship Alliance (Green Music Australia): aims to reduce the environmental impact of physical products through data analysis and promotion of eco-friendly practices within the music industry.

Little Minds by InTonal: develops therapeutic music with scientifically proven frequencies to support emotional healing and mindfulness, especially for children recovering from trauma.

NoteWorthy: CreateComposeConnect: empowers aspiring Aboriginal artists with a 10-week program focused on recording original music with mentorship from industry professionals.

The program awards $5,000 in funding to five creative projects from individuals or groups that “influence positive, meaningful, and sustainable change” for the Australian music industry. Also, the grant extends to ongoing industry support and mentorship to amplify their impact.

“The number of creative, community-driven ideas we receive each year is truly inspiring,” comments Jaddan Comerford, CEO of UNIFIED Music Group and founder of The UNIFIED Grant. “Our industry is filled with passionate individuals striving to make the music community more inclusive, sustainable, and innovative. This year’s recipients embody that spirit, and I can’t wait to see how their projects evolve.”

The UNIFIED Grant focuses on projects that align with UNIFIED’s Impact Priorities: Environment, First Nations, Education & Pathways, Health & Wellbeing, and Community Engagement.

Since launch, the total funding gifted to creatives, innovators, and entrepreneurs tallies to $150,000.
