Hazel Savage Named Non-Executive Board Member at Tuned Global
SoundCloud executive Hazel Savage joins Australia-owned B2B streaming tech specialist Tuned Global as a non-executive board member.
Based in the U.K., Savage will be expected to bring her experience in AI and tech innovations within the music industry.
Her arrival at Tuned Global, say reps, is set to impact the company’s governance, strategic decision-making and future tech direction as it looks to beef-up its presence across new markets in EMEA, the U.S. and APAC.
“I am very excited and honoured to join the Tuned Global board. That they would select its first independent director as a female tech founder shows this business’s forward-thinking,” comments Savage in a statement.
“I’ve always had a great working relationship with the Tuned Global team, and I can’t wait to bring what I’ve learnt throughout my career to the business as it enters its expansion phase into new markets and the launch of meaningful services in the metaverse”.
Savage has carved out a 15-year-plus career in music and tech, including stints at Shazam, Pandora, Universal and HMV, most recently with SoundCloud, where she serves as music intelligence VP.
Along the way, she’s called Sydney, Singapore and London home.
She co-founded AI company Musiio, which was recently acquired by SoundCloud to enhance the platform’s discovery capabilities.
