Amber Lawrence Sets New Personal Best on ARIA Albums Chart
Australian country music star Amber Lawrence has set a new personal best on the ARIA Albums Chart this week, following the release of her seventh studio album.
“Living For The Highlights” entered at No.5, beaten only by global superstars Harry Styles (No.1), The Weekend (No.2), Olivia Rodrigo (No.3), and Ed Sheeran (No.4).
Despite a new peak, the five-time Golden Guitar winner is no stranger to the pop charts.
Lawrence’s last album “Spark” peaked at #13, and all seven of her original studio albums have peaked in the Top 20 of the Australian Country Albums Chart.
She has also released three children’s albums, with “The Kid’s Gone Country II” landing her an ARIA Awards nomination last year for Best Children’s album.
The singer-songwriter told TMN she is “grateful and excited” for this album.
“I’m incredibly excited by the results and the support my fanbase showed in buying my album in that critical launch week,” she said. “The lockdown years taught me that my fans are everything and are the ones that keep my music alive.”
Lawrence is signed to ABC Music and managed by Karen-Lee Herrmann-Smith.
Elsewhere, Japanese-Australian artist Joji returns to No.1 on the New Music Chart and celebrates his seventh consecutive week in the Top 5 of the Singles Chart with “Glimpse Of Us” at No.3.
U.K. rapper Central Cee makes a debut on the Singles Chart at No.8 and No.5 on the New Music Chart with “Doja”, while Steve Lacy continues to climb with “Bad Habit” breaking the Top 5.
Tyler, The Creator’s previous albums creep up the Albums Chart, following his Splendour In The Grass headline performance. “Igor” (May 2019) comes in at No.4 on the Vinyl Charts and No.26 on the Albums Chart, while “Call Me When If You Get Lost” (June 2021) comes in at No.6 on the Vinyl Charts and No.31 on the Albums Chart.
