merci, mercy inks partnership with Capitol Records US and EMI UK, releases new single ‘Winnie Crush’
Sydney singer-songwriter merci, mercy has released a new single, ‘Winnie Crush’— an easy listen about the fine line between self-care and indulgence. The route to sharing this song coincides with exciting news about merci, mercy’s ROW partnership with Capitol Records U.S. and EMI UK.
Liberation Records continue to represent merci, mercy in Australia and New Zealand.
The song’s clever video from Interns Creative follows merci, mercy as she confronts various vices in a colourful wonderland.
“’Winnie Crush’ is a song about a toxic relationship that I have with myself,” she said. “These bad habits that I’m letting take control over my life. I can barely afford what is good for my body let alone what’s bad for it.
“In this mind of mine I’ve tricked myself to believe that this is what’s good for me, that it’s something that makes me happy. I can’t afford to do this to myself anymore, I can’t afford a love that doesn’t exist.”
