5 Seconds Of Summer are the first Australian act to top the ARIA End Of Year Singles Chart since Anthony Callea in 2005.

They claim the #1 position with 7x Platinum single and 2018 Apple Music Song Of The Year ‘Youngblood’.

The track spent eight weeks unbroken weeks atop the chart last year, equalling the second most weeks at #1 by an Australian act in the chart’s history.

“We’ve always said to be recognised in our home country is more special than anything,” 5SOS said of the achievement.

Topping the 2018 End Of Year Albums Chart is the soundtrack to box office smash The Greatest Showman. The 3x Platinum record spent the entire year in the Top 50, 49 of those in the Top 10.

Coming in at #14 overall, Amy Shark had the highest-selling Aussie album of 2018 with Love Monster.

“I put my heart and soul into this album,” she admitted. “This means so much to me”.

Post Malone was among the highest achievers across the board in 2018, scoring seven singles in the Top 100 and two in the Top 10 (‘I Fall Apart’, #6 & ‘Psycho’, #7). His sophomore album beerbongs & bentleys ended the year at #4.
