30 Under 30 deadline extended, new Rising Star Award added

Late to the party? No problem!

Over the past 24 hours, it has come to TMN’s attention that some of you need more time to get your entry submitted for the 2022 TMN 30 Under 30 Awards.

The annual awards program – which this year will finally include an in-person awards mixer at Sydney’s The Rocks in April – aims to give future industry leaders the opportunity to showcase their achievements and propel their careers forward, while also offering a platform for them to outline their vision for the sector.

Future music moguls take note: you have two more weeks to enter. The deadline is now midnight, March 27. This is your last chance to join the class of 2022.

The TMN 30 Under 30 Awards are made possible thanks to the support of industry sponsors AIM, APRA AMCOS, MTV, Sony Music, Universal Music and Warner Music.

Also announced today is a new TMN 30 Under 30 Rising Star Award, presented by AIM.

In addition to the 30 winners and the Readers’ Choice Award, one entrant aged under 25 that demonstrated entrepreneurship and leadership potential will receive the new Rising Star Award.

The recipient will be chosen by a panel that includes The Brag Media and AIM.

Ed St John, chair of the AIM board, welcomed the addition of the Rising Star Award.

“At AIM, our focus is on training and developing the next generation of musicians, songwriters, producers and managers,” He said. “In that way, we invest in the future of our industry – so we’re proud to be sponsoring the Rising Star Award.”

The Rising Star Award recipient will also receive mentoring sessions from industry leaders and be invited to contribute thought leadership pieces to The Music Network and The Industry Observer.
