Zac Gould unveils ALTCHORD management company, label with Ingrooves
Zac Gould today launches the ALTCHORD artist management company and record label, TIO can exclusively reveal.
Based in Melbourne, ALTCHORD will house Gould’s management clients from Smack Face Music, including San Mei, Lola Scott, Michael McCartney and Tbi$h, the Brisbane-based drill artist who recently signed with Niche Talent Agency.
On the label side, ALTCHORD is a partnership with Ingrooves Music Group, the U.S.-based distribution, technology and marketing company.
Ingrooves recently expanded its activities in these parts with the appointment of Nina Rabe-Cairns as Country Manager for Australia and New Zealand.
“We are thrilled that the ALTCHORD team chose Ingrooves as their distribution and strategic growth partner,” comments Rabe-Cairns on the new pact.
“They come with such an eclectic roster of outstanding artists across different genres, I can’t wait for everyone to hear the amazing music that’s going to be released over the next couple of months.”
The first-up signing to the new label is Sydney artist AnnaLina, whose first release through ALTCHORD is the dreamy, soul-steeped ‘It’s Seasonal.’
It officially arrives today (20th November) following its debut earlier this week on triple j’s “Home And Hosed”.

Born in Norway, the globetrotting singer and songwriter has spent time in Venezuela, Egypt and France before calling Sydney home. Those changing environments and experiences influence her music.
Gould co-founded Smack Face Records in 2012, an indie that grew out of a bedroom concept to one boasting a master catalogue of international artists and almost 20 titles, that included The Coathangers, Dot Hacker, LA Witch and more.
In future, Gould will throw his energies into his new ventures. He also serves as manager of Unbreakable Touring and Australasian Operations Manager for Global Live, the international digital events promoter.
“ALTCHORD has been a journey over the past couple of years slowly building a management roster that I couldn’t be more proud to represent,” he tells TIO.
“With the label and partnership with Ingrooves we’re creating a powerful development portal for emerging talent, and can’t wait to showcase all the amazing music we have in the works.”
