Yours Truly signs with Select Music: Exclusive
Yours Truly has joined the Select Music family, The Industry Observer can exclusively reveal.
It’s a busy time for the pop-punk outfit. They sign with the award-winning agency ahead of the September 18th release of their debut album, Self Care (via UNFD).
Ahead of that, the band appeared for the first time on triple j’s Like a Version, where they delivered a performance of Oasis’ ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger,’ and their own tune ‘Composure,’ which will appear on the forthcoming Self Care LP.
“We are proud to call Select Music home and to be working with our good friend Jimmy Kleiner,” say the band in a statement to TIO. “It is an honour to be on a roster alongside so many artists we respect and can’t wait to see what the future brings.”
Kleiner joined Select Music in 2019 as booking agent, following stints at 123 Agency and as a tour manager for Trophy Eyes.
“Yours Truly are undoubtedly one of the brightest rising stars at the moment,” he comments on the new addition to the Select Music roster.
“The music is unreal, their live performances have gone from strength to strength and they are being recognised internationally as the fantastic artist that they are. Beyond all the exciting success, they (and their team) are great people and deserve the world. Thrilled to be part of the story.”
Yours Truly is led by vocalist Mikaila Delgado alongside Teddie Winder-Haron (guitar), Lachlan Cronin (guitar) and Bradley Cronan (drums).
Formed in 2016, the four-piece dropped their first release in March 2017, Too Late For Apologies. Tour support slots soon followed with Tonight Alive and Forever Ends Here.
Their story continued to build with the single release ‘Winter,’ which was added to Spotify’s ‘Pop Punk’s Not Dead’ playlist, and their number ‘Strangers’ was added to rotation on Triple J’s ShortFastLoud Radio Show.
Their Stevie Knight-produced 2019 EP Afterglow got the attention of several harder-edged blogs, including Kill Your Stereo.
Yours Truly are booked for the 2021 Yours & Owls Festival, on a bill that features Tones And I, Benee, Cosmo’s Midnight and more.
Established in 2005 and led by Stephen Wade and Rob G, Select is recognised as one of the most successful independent Australian-owned agencies in the business.
In March 2018, Select Music’s Stephen Wade took out Booking Agent of the Year at the inaugural Industry Observer Awards in Sydney, with Casey O’Shaughnessy shortlisted for the prize.
Based in Sydney, the agency’s loaded roster includes The Amity Affliction, Stella Donnelly, Baker Boy, The Veronicas and many more.
