The hat fits: Wildlife’s Murray Curnow launches hat management agency
Murray Curnow is a man of many hats.
Over the past decade, Curnow served with Wildlife Entertainment, where he guided the careers of Perth-based outfits Psychedelic Porn Crumpets and Dulcie, and the giant-killing British alternative rock duo Royal Blood, among others.
Today, Curnow launches his own venture: the hat management agency.
Hat takes off with a roster featuring the likes of Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, Dulcie, and fellow Australian act People Taking Pictures, plus rising U.K. artist Lily Denning.

Based in Western Australia and London, hat is on track for a busy first year, despite the pandemic, Curnow notes.
“After 12 years at Wildlife Entertainment, this is a brand new chapter for me,” he explains.
“The Australian music scene is a hotbed of new talent that has huge potential not just domestically but globally. I’m excited to be branching out with a fantastic roster of artists and continuing to work on their respective journeys within the music industry.”
At Wildlife, Curnow and his clients Royal Blood crowned the U.K. albums chart with three successive albums, most recently with Typhoon.
Also, he oversaw multiple campaigns with Arctic Monkeys, Travis, The Last Shadow Puppets, Miles Kane and others.
Curnow departs from Wildlife with the blessing of its CEO, Ian McAndrew. “Murray is a manager with great integrity who is equipped with all the qualities and experience to help his artists discover and realise their true potential,” McAndrew says in a statement. “I wish him every success with hat.”
