Vita Music Group rebrand, expands team and roster

Vita Music Group rebrand, expands team and roster

With five of its acts set to showcase at BIGSOUND in Brisbane, boutique artist touring and booking agency Vita Music Group this morning announced a major change in their third year.

This includes a rebrand from Vita Artists, a division structure, and an expansion of their team and roster.

To provide more specialised treatment, the company has divided itself into different genres.

Vita will house all contemporary acts.

Vita Electronic will look after DJ and electronic-based artists.

Vita Alternative will cater to heavier groups, with Lachlan Monty and Matthew Whiting (Friends Like Us) joining to co-head the division with co-founder Guven Yilmaz and look after the likes of Foxblood, DVSR and Ocean Sleeper.

Yilmaz explains to TMN: “There has never been a more exciting time to be in the Australian Music Scene right now.

“We’re extremely privileged to work with so many talented artists and managers, and now with a bigger team and infrastructure in place, we’re ready to launch into phase two of Vita Music Group and continue delivering above and beyond across our roster.

The boutique nature of Vita has enabled them to develop strong ties and open lines of communication with artists, managers, venues and promoters across the country.

“This, in turn, has enabled us to accelerate the growth of our artists beyond expectations. We maintain a firm hands-on approach with growing talent.”

He continues: “I’m incredibly proud to work with such an amazing team: Jon Hanlon, Shelley Liu, Cameron Mackinnon, Matthew Whiting and Lachlan Monty, who each share my passion for artist development.”

Home to Peking Duk, Benson and UV Boi بنفسجي فوق, Vita are also growing the careers of Kwame (triple j unearthed’s Splendour winner), Clypso (hand picked by PNAU to join their national tour), recent Vita signing Austen (playing triple j unearthed’s BIGSOUND party), RAAVE TAPES (sold out their own self funded mini festival), Nyxen (Splendour 2018 alumni, toured nationally with Golden Features) and new addition to the roster Ocean Sleeper (playing Unify 2019).

Shelley Liu (agent for Clypso, Milan Ring and Rainbow Chan) notes, “I’m very thrilled to be working with a roster of incredibly talented and diverse artists who I believe are different to anything else that’s around at the moment, and who all encompass the VMG ethos.”

One of VMG’s major acts Peking Duk sold 15,000+ tickets nationally on their Wasted single tour, including a sold-out Horden Pavilion in Sydney.

VMG have five acts showcasing at BIGSOUND including Clypso, Kwame and Fritz.
