Violent Soho extend deal with Mushroom Music Publishing

Mushroom Music Publishing has announced that its publishing partnership with Aussie rockers Violent Soho is set to continue.

The band first signed on in 2008, releasing their debut album We Don’t Belong Here that same year.

Violent Soho have since dropped four more studio albums including 2020’s Everything Is A-OK which debuted at #1 on the ARIA Charts upon its April release.

Mushroom Music Publishing managing director Linda Bosidis said it has been an honour to have followed the band’s journey to date.

“Having worked with Violent Soho for 12 years has allowed us the privilege of watching them grow song by song into the incredible band they have become,” she said.

“Their story is one of friendship, generosity, an ironclad commitment to their art, highs, lows, risk taking, integrity, gratitude, loyalty and spirit, all swathed in a healthy dose of anecdotes and fun.

“Their true punk rock attitude is a magnetic force – one that we are drawn to now, just as much as we were 12 years ago.”

Over their history, Violent Soho have also become a staple of the Aussie music touring scene, having performed at the biggest festivals from Falls Festival, Big Day Out and Groovin The Moo, to Splendour in the Grass and triple j’s One Night Stand.

“For us, working with Mushroom is as familiar as working with people you trust and respect on the level of family. It’s a huge honour for us to be able to continue that relationship,” the band said.
