Vance Joy partners with Twickets to protect fans from scalpers

Fan-to-fan ticket resale platform Twickets, which opened for business in Australia in May, has partnered with Vance Joy to protect his fans from scalpers and bots.

The partnership, which will cover the Australian dates of his world tour this November, will enable fans to buy and sell tickets at face value – or less.

Vance Joy is directing fans to a dedicated landing page, vancejoy.twickets.live, where they can also sign-up for mobile and email alerts when tickets are listed.

Danny Hannaford, who heads up Twickets Australia, said:

“It’s great to be teaming up with Vance Joy and his team to be able to offer people a fair alternative to the secondary sites and their swindling. We’re finding that Twickets is getting a great reception here in Australia, both from fans and industry alike, and we look forward to growing our service with more official partnerships in the coming months.”

Twickets’ partnership with the Melbourne-born, global star follows a raft of big-name acts using the platform to help fans resell tickets safely and fairly. Ed Sheeran, Stormzy, Midnight Oil all teamed up with Twickets in Australia this year. And since Twickets’ launch in the UK in 2015 acts like Adele, One Direction, Pixies, Christine and The Queens, Mumford & Sons and The 1975 have all jumped on board.

According to a press release sent today, over 500,000 UK users have downloaded Twickets’ app, registered on-site or followed on social media.

Twickets is set to roll out in the US and mainland Europe during 2017.
