Universal signs Timmy Trumpet to global publishing deal

Universal Music Publishing Australia has signed an exclusive, global music publishing deal with Sydney-based, internationally renowned producer/DJ/ trumpeter Timmy Trumpet, it was announced today by Bob Aird, Universal Music Publishing Australia MD, and Heath Johns, Universal Music Publishing Australia Director of A&R.
Timmy Trumpet’s No.1 (Aria Club Chart) single Freaks(feat. Savage)was the breakout Australian hit of 2014, amassing 4X Platinum status in Australia and gaining high rotation on all major commercial radio stations. Having close to nine million YouTube views (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ofmzX1nI7SE), Freakshas climbed to No.18 on the Billboard Emerging Artists chart. It also continues to build international momentum reaching No.30 on the European Top 100 chart and Top 20 status in France (#11), Sweden (#6), Finland (#5), and Belgium (#20). It’s become a bonafide club and radio hit across Europe and already achieved 3X Platinum status in New Zealand and Gold in The Netherlands. In North America the song will soon be released on Casablanca/Universal. Timmy Trumpet is set to commence a 37-date European tour throughout April and May to support the single.

Rightfully dubbed “the busiest DJ in Australia,” Timmy Trumpet averages seven flights a week and juggles over 200 shows per year. His new instrumental “Hipsta” has already hit the Australian iTunes Top 20 and reached No.1 on the ARIA Club Chart. A special vocal version and video for “Hipsta” is in the works.
