Universal Music Publishing Australia signs Peking Duk

Universal Music Publishing Australia has signed an exclusive ANZ music publishing deal with multi-platinum, electronic duo Peking Duk, it was announced today by Bob Aird, Universal Music Publishing Australia MD, and Heath Johns, Universal Music Publishing Australia Director of A&R.

In making the announcement Johns said:"We are beyond excited to conclude this deal with Peking Duk. As Adam and Reuben move closer to their keenly anticipated debut album we look forward to facilitating a range of creative collaborations. Peking Duk are a rare and special group and this will be a rare and special record," said Johns.

Catapulting onto the Australian music scene, the Canberra-bred duo of Adam Hyde and Reuben Styles has captivated fans across Australia and the world with their distinct flavour of indie electronica and electrifying live sets.

"We are very stoked to have joined Heath and the Universal Publishing family for Australia and New Zealand,"said Reuben Styles of Peking Duk.

Undoubtedly the breakthrough Australian act of 2014 Peking Duk have continued to gain momentumin2015. They had the honour of having two singles in the top five of Triple J’s Hottest 100(an amazing feat for their first entry into the countdown),completed a sold-outPeace, Love & Sweatinessregional tour of Australia, won a Rolling Stone award for Best Video, and their latest single “Take Me Over: featuring SAFIA has achieved 2xPlatinum sales.The anthem‘High’ feat. Nicole Millar recently amassed sales in excess of 3xPlatinum, and the song was also responsible for winning Peking Duk the 'Breakthrough Artist' award at October's ARIA Awards.
