UNIFIED signs global distro deal with Sony Music
Sony Music Entertainment Australia has announced a new global distribution deal with UNIFIED Music Group.
SME will distribute all UNIFIED records globally, through its distro arm The Orchard. UNIFIED Recorded Music division currently has six different labels: hardcore/heavy label UNFD, hip hop label ONETWO, dance music label NLV Records, Exist (electro pop), THAA Records “dedicated to unearthing the next generation of Australian artists”, and DOMESTIC LA LA, an indie rock label.
Jaddan Comerford, CEO and Founder of UNIFIED Music Group, said of the deal “UNIFIED could not be happier to be embarking on this new relationship with Denis Handlin, Rob Stringer, Brad Navin and the entire Sony Music and Orchard team worldwide.
“We’ve been desperate for a global solution so we can continue to scale and provide opportunities to our artists in the ever-changing landscape that is recorded music.”
“I am thrilled to announce the launch of this very special global distribution deal with UNIFIED”, adds Denis Handlin CEO of SME Australia. “I have tremendous respect for Jaddan and the team at UNIFIED, and we have already celebrated some incredible achievements together.”
