UMPG offers songwriters royalty advances with new update

Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG) songwriters like Imagine Dragons, Keith Urban, Adele andFlorence + the Machine can now requestan advance against their incoming royaltiesforno additional fee with the publisher's latestRoyalty Window update.

Additional to the “One-Click Advance” service, the enhancement to itsonline royalty account portal, Royalty Window, sees the publisher offer account holdersbalance updatesas royalties are processed during the royalty period.

The new feature which went live today is currently only on offer to account holders in the US and the UK, however a global roll-out is expected inthe next year.

Royalty Window is also accessed byUMPG publishing partners worldwide includingentertainment and business managers, and major film studios.
