Twitter partners with The X Studio
PRESS RELEASE:
As headlines keep reporting that Australia is losing its innovators and entrepreneurs to overseas markets, one tech magnate is driving his latest idea to stunning success right here under the iconic Coke sign, in Sydney’s Kings Cross.
Sydney’s Ron Creevey, famous for founding YuuZoo, a social media network which has more than 35 million users that recently listed on the Singapore stock exchange, has combined his personal passions for music, film and broadcasting into one ground-breaking concept, called The X Studio.
Already parading an A-list clientele, Twitter is the latest to work with the venue to launch #Tropvine, their six-second short film festival in The X Studio.
The X Studio is a world first concept, which incorporates a social broadcasting studio (the first of its kind where artists can broadcast their content straight to their social pages), private live-music venue, multiple green rooms and bars. The hybrid of state-of-the-art technology and incredible venue is tailored for an A-List clientele of musicians, producers, celebrities and artists, alongside the companies who want to record, broadcast or entertain in a world-class facility.
“This is something you would expect to come out of New York or Hollywood and we are already attracting the best of the best to work with us, including the latest appointment of Hazel Savage as Head of Global Music, brought over from Pandora,” said Creevey.
Twitter’s Australian Head of Marketing, Marshall Maher, agrees.
“Twitter is always looking for innovative concepts and venues to host our events and The X Studio in Kings Cross has the right attitude for Twitter, great tech and an iconic location,” he said.
“It has been a vital addition to the music and entertainment industry in Sydney.”
The X Studio already boasts an impressive client list, including Amazon who record their premium audiobooks for audible.com in the studio, Mark Bouris who records all his podcasts in the studio, Channel 9 who has interviewed some of their biggest music acts at the studio, and Kyle and Jackie O on KIIS 106.5.
Sydney’s first official Playboy Party, Johnny Ruffo's new music video shoot, and ASAP Ferg’s after party have also counted among the studio’s high profile events.
As an entrepreneur who is passionate about keeping innovation alive and well in Australia, Creevey knows the challenges this country presents after making his initial tech success overseas.
“There is a common concern in the Australian business community regarding our best talent going overseas to launch new concepts and generate venture capital backing for their ideas,” he said.
“So this time with my own financial backing, I decided to launch my latest concept in Sydney to make its mark here before I take it global. I am delighted to have the Internet heavyweights already partnered with us and the response from some of the biggest names and brands in the country and has been amazing and immediate. “
“I have many good friends in the Australian music and entertainment industry who were desperate for something new, and believe The X Studio will spur on a new energy for this sector, as well as Kings Cross, whose reputation has been suffering for some time.”
