Mushroom Music Publishing and Young & Vicious sign Twice As Nice

Australian production duo Twice As Nice have joined the Mushroom family via its partnership with Young & Vicious.

The GRAMMY-nominated duo of Nick ‘Unknown Nick’ Audino and Lewis Hughes have produced, written and mixed for artists including Rihanna, Ariana Grande, Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, Britney Spears, Demi Lovato, Post Malone, Nelly, Robin Thicke, Trey Songz, Bebe Rexha and Pete Wentz. Their co-writing and co-production work on Tiesto’s worldwide 2014 hit ‘Wasted’ cemented their credentials, and they’ve since gone on to receive three GRAMMY nominations and over 15 Gold and Platinum certifications for their work.

Matt Gudinski, Mushroom Group’s CEO, said he’s known the duo for a long time and he’s excited to team up with them.

“We’ve got huge respect for the in-roads they’ve made globally and the amazing music they’ve created together with some of the world’s biggest artists,” he said. “We’re proud to officially welcome them into the Mushroom family through our partnership with Young & Vicious.”

Andrew Hawkins, the founder of Young & Vicious, said Twice As Nice operate at “a level above the rest”.

“Their records reach millions around the world every single day and their music will have a lasting cultural impact,” he said.

“Nick and Lewis are not just multi-platinum GRAMMY-nominated songwriters, but they are also an A&R powerhouse. As tastemakers and music executives, they are breaking the mould across the board with their hugely successful independent label CORTAN and their various A&R roles.”

He also thanked the wider Mushroom Group for its support of the act and the partnership.

“As their friend and fellow ex-pat Aussie, I’ve been fortunate enough to collaborate with them throughout the years. It’s my pleasure to welcome these two to the growing Young & Vicious and Mushroom Music family. A special thanks to everyone at Mushroom for the unwavering support – especially Matt Gudinski and the late, great Michael Gudinski AM,” he added.

Hughes, meanwhile, is grateful the act’s new partners understand their vision.

“We are thrilled to sign with Mushroom / Y&V. As Australians working in LA, we’re thankful to find partners who understand where we came from, and where we’re going,” he said.

Audino added: “As a Proud Australian doing music at the highest level, it was only right to partner with the Mushroom / Y&V family. What’s to come will make you forget about what’s already happened.

“Shout out to Matt, Andy & the great Michael Gudinski up in heaven cheering us on.”
