The Grates – Dream Team

Recorded in just over two weeks at Sydney's Linear Studios earlier this month, the release of The Grates’ fourth LP Dream Team is as punk-rock as it is ambitious. But then again, the Brisbane trio have always been that way; from electric sold-out live shows that saw frontwoman Patience Hodgson leave bloodied and bruised, to the opening of their own café and bar two years ago, and the launch of Death Valley last month –their label imprint with the Create/Control family –Hodgson and her now husband John Patterson continue to blur the lines of the typical recorded industry ascent.
Dream Team was produced by Sydney’s Owen Penglis (Royal Headache, Palms, Frowning Clowns), and will be released digitally on November 28 before physical copies will be made available on December 5.
