Tony Armstrong to Host TikTok For You Fest 2022

TikTok For You Fest is returning for its second edition next month.

Held this year on Thursday, December 15th, Logie Awards winner Tony Armstrong will host the festival, which will featuring a wide range of music artists, content creators, and stand-up comedians.

More than 500 of the finest TikTokers from across Australia will gather for the festival, with all the action set to be streamed live on the official TikTok Australia account. 10Peach will also show all the performances a little later.

Armstrong says he’s looking forward to hosting the festival. “There’s no doubt from the quality of performers taking part in this year’s, For You Fest, that TikTok is a place where talent thrives and entertainment rules.

“It’s been a game changer for many creators, opening doors that would traditionally have been shut without a record deal, production house or traditional stage. Many of TikTok’s top creators have gone on to have international success, including LA born pop star, Leah Kate, who will perform live on the night.”

Three awards will be handed out on the night: TikTok Video of the Year, TikTok For Good, and TikTok Creator of the Year, the one everyone wants to win. The latter will be given to a creator who possesses the creativity, innovation, and diversity that make one stand out on the platform.

This year’s Creator of the Year nominees are:

Kat Clark (@katclark86) – known for healthy food content and daily vlogs, Clark is one of the country’s fastest growing TikTok creators.

Will Gibb (@will-yum-gibb) – Gibb is a comedian and content creator from Sydney, who regularly posts stand-up performances.

Luke & Sassy Scott (@lukeandsassyscott) – These Melbourne brothers have built up a worldwide following, including celebrities like Selena Gomez and Rita Ora.

TikTok For You Fest 2022 will be live on @tiktok_australia on Thursday, December 15th from 7pm AEDT, and on 10Peach from 8:30pm AEDT. You can find out more information about the festival here.
