Tkay Maidza track nominated for global Music+Sound sync awards
Tkay Maidza is the sole Australian to gain a nomination for the global Music+Sound sync awards.
There are 38 categories spanning original composition, sound design, sync, re-records and production music.
The London-based awards are unveiled July 10 via The Music+Sound Awards’ Twitter feed, @MASawards.
According to Awards managing director Emma Maguire, “This year sees the highest number of entrants in its seven-year history.
“The engagement and enthusiasm that we have seen this year sets us up for another fantastic competition.”
The Australian rapper is in the online, viral and ambient advertising with the use of her Tennies for Mumm Champagne’s ‘The Party’ global campaign and entered by Too Young Music.
Looped around the slogan “Celebrate your next victory”, it was created with French ad agency Buzzman and directed by Luis Cerveró.
It starred eight-time Olympic gold medalist and newly appointed chief entertainment officer of Maison Mumm, Usain Bolt, with former Miss Universe runner-up Yendi Philipps in an action-packed choreographed production.
