The UNIFIED Grant Returns For 2024

The UNIFIED Grant is back.

Announced today (Sept. 13), the grant offers $5,000 to five creative projects, with the objective of enhancing the connectivity of the Australian independent music community.

Now in its fifth year, the initiative identifies “innovative founders who are inspired by music the opportunity to fund and build out their ideas.”

The grant is now open and applies to anyone who is running a business that “positively impacts the local music industry,” reads a statement, whether its by delivering creative services, helping artists grow their fanbases, or shaping new tech.

Applications close at 5:00pm (AEST) on Oct. 22.

UNIFIED Music Group wants to help foster new business ideas and empower founders to propel their projects forward, comments CEO Jaddan Comerford.

“It’s always inspiring and humbling to receive so many worthy submissions for The UNIFIED Grant each year,” he says. “Our independent music community and those who operate within it have such brilliant, bubbling ideas for making it even better, and I’m so pleased UNIFIED Music Group and its Impact Committee is in a position to help these ideas become a reality.”

Since its inaugural edition, $125,000 has been distributed to bright creatives, innovators and entrepreneurs.

Those sharing in $25,000 last year were Bush Music Fund, Neurodivergent Artist Meet Ups from Nat BartschSolar SessionsMusic in Exile and RELEASR.

The funds are presented by the UNIFIED Impact Committee, which assesses successful applicants and their funded projects in alignment with the Impact Priorities of Environment, First Nations, Education and Pathways, Health and Wellbeing, and Community Engagement.

“I really encourage anyone out there who has been working on an idea, trying to grow a business, or seeking support to bring a dream into reality in the independent music community to apply for the Grant,” adds Comerford.

“We’ve seen the impact it can have on ideas, people, businesses, creativity and community, and would love to have you be a part of it.”

Recipients of the UNIFIED Grant will be notified by early November. For additional information, email [email protected] and visit theunifiedgrant.com.
