Downtown Music Publishing will represent The Teskey Brothers outside of Australia thanks to a new global publishing deal.

The announcement follows on from the Melbourne soul-blues outfit’s signing of record deals with Mushroom Group’s Ivy League Records for Australia and Glassnote Records for other territories.

Daniel Lloyd Jones, Downtown’s senior vice president of global creative services and head of UK A&R, describes The Teskey Brothers as a “musical oasis in a terrain of bubblegum pop”. He continues: “I was captivated by their heart, soul, and warmth from the first time I was played their music back in 2017,”

Sam Teskey adds:  “The four of us in The Teskey Brothers all love writing songs and we’re all really excited about getting them out into the world with the help of this passionate bunch of legends.”

After wowing audiences at SXSW and The Great Escape, the band has continued to cement their reputation with shows in Australia, USA and Japan.

Next month they will embark on a short tour of New Zealand before returning to Australia to begin work on their sophomore album, the follow-up to their acclaimed 2017 debut Half Mile Harvest, which reached #2 on the Australian iTunes charts and at #1 on the Australian Independent Record Labels Association (AIR) album chart.
