The Kid LAROI is now a Billboard chart leader
The Kid LAROI can add another accolade to his growing collection. He’s now a Billboard chart topper.
In a single week ending May 6, the track blew up with more than 15 million streams in the U.S., up 87% from the previous week, Billboard reports, with download sales up 254% to 9,000.
It took 14 weeks to get there, but the Kid now has his first crowns on either the survey, and it coincides with the single’s first appearance in the Billboard Hot 100, flying 23-8.
‘Without You’ sprouted wings following the release of a new cut featuring Miley Cyrus, powering it to No. 1 on the current ARIA Singles Chart for the first time.

The pair performed the collaboration last weekend on Saturday Night Live, where they were introduced by the deep-pocketed rocket man Elon Musk.
Is the Kid a bona fide star in the U.S.? Just about.
“If he’s not quite at superstar level yet, it’s certainly viewable on the horizon for the Kid,” explains Billboard deputy editor Andrew Unterberger.
‘Without You’ is the kind of cross-genre, cross-platform smash that star careers are launched from, and the singer/rapper had already been trending in that direction for a long time prior,” he explains. “An SNL appearance helps, an implied Miley co-sign helps, and an official debut album should probably put him over the top, whenever that materializes.
The song appears on The Kid LAROI’s F*ck Love mixtape, which reached No. 3 on the Billboard 200 in November 2020, after the tune was added to its deluxe Savage edition.
It’s closing in on platinum status in the U.S., shifting 947,000 equivalent album units so far.

It’s a similar story on the other side of the Atlantic, where ‘Without You’ is tracking upwards on the U.K. chart.
‘Without You’ is currently at No. 13 on the midweek singles chart and in striking distance of a return to the Top 10 in its 25th week.
‘Without You’ has a peak position of No. 2 on the Official U.K. Singles Chart.
Earlier this year, LAROI (real name Charlton Howard) became the youngest ever solo Australian artist to lead the ARIA Albums Chart. The 17-year-old backed that up last month when he became the youngest winner at the 2021 APRA Music Awards, scooping Breakthrough Songwriter of the Year.
