Miley Cyrus Signs Deal with Atlantic Records

Miley Cyrus has signed with Atlantic Records after five years with Columbia Records. 

As per Rolling Stone, the pop star has entered a new chapter of her music career with the big label move, having been with Columbia since 2021. Cyrus won her first Grammy Award, in 2024, during her time with Columbia. 

Cyrus first emerged as a Disney artist, famously the home of her Hannah Montana character. In 2013, she moved to RCA Records and the Sony Music umbrella for a three-album deal, which led to her Bangerz album and the massive hit “We Can't Stop”. 

Cyrus dropped Plastic Hearts in 2020 before moving to Columbia, where she would go on to release Endless Summer Vacation (2023) and Something Beautiful (2025). 

Cyrus recently sat down with Wonderland Magazine to guest edit a special edition, with Dolly Parton, Noah Cyrus, Sky Ferreira, and more featuring. 

“I love feeling aligned with my purpose, my power, and my gifts,” Cyrus said in the magazine. “I feel closest to something bigger than myself when records flow through me. 

"It’s almost impossible to describe. It’s like waking up from a dream you can still feel in your body even though you can’t fully explain it logically. Songwriting feels like crossing over to another side sometimes.”

While Atlantic gains a star in Cyrus, it recently lost Ed Sheeran, who signed a new deal with Interscope Records earlier this year.
