The Game’s Tour Cancelled Over Visa Issues

The Game’s Tour Cancelled Over Visa Issues

The Game’s Australian tour this week has been cancelled due tovisa issues. Although far from confirmed, he might return in September when he plays New Zealand.

When the Compton, California rapper arrived on Friday for his The Documentary 2 Tour, he was stopped at customs over a visa issue and refused entry by the Department of Immigration and Border Protection.

A release from promoter Metropolis Touring announced: “Unfortunately the tour by The Game is now cancelled. All ticket holders will be entitled to a refund from point of purchase.

“Please allow a few days for us to liaise with the ticketing companies but we will work as quickly as possible to organise this and keep everyone updated.

“We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.”

The tour was to have kicked off tonight (Monday 22) at Brisbane Eatons Hill. Other shows were at Adelaide HQ (Tuesday 23), Melbourne Forum Theatre (Wednesday 24), Sydney Big Top (Thursday 25) and Perth Metro City (Saturday 27).

The drama also prevented the rapper from appearing at the Raggamuffin Festival in New Zealand on Saturday. There were boos when promoters announced onstage he would be a no-show.

Raggamuffin’s promoters posted on Facebook, “The Game has missed his flight from Dubai. Raggamuffin has been on the phone to The Game and his manager and he’s agreed to come back in September when we will present three shows around NZ.”

But in a since-deleted post on Instagram, The Game confirmed it was the visa issue. “We were denied entry once we landed at Customs,” he said.
