The Brag Media CEO Luke Girgis up for Executive of the Year Award

The Brag Media’s CEO Luke Girgis has been named a finalist in The CEO Magazine’s Executive Of The Year Awards.

The Awards celebrates inspirational Australian leaders and features categories for Not-For-Profit Executive of the Year, Managing Director of the Year, CFO of the Year, CMO of the Year and COO of the Year.

The CEO Magazine has honoured Girgis in its Media Executive category. Girgis is up for the national award alongside Laura Aldington, CEO of advertising agency Host/Havas, and Kath Blackham, CEO of voice and conversational AI agency VERSA.

The Brag Media, which includes Tone Deaf, The Brag, Don’t Bore Us and this publication in its stable, recently returned Rolling Stone Australia to the market to this year.

Following its return in February, John Watson, artist manager, previously A&R head and music journalist said:

“You could argue that given today’s overwhelming social media din and clutter we need this interpretative function more than ever. We need someone to help filter the signals out of all that noise and Rolling Stone is culturally well positioned to provide it given their history.”

The Executive of the Year Awards is judged by a panel of 13 highly regarded business professionals. “The judges are well-respected experts in their industries with vast experience in their professional careers,” says The CEO Magazine.

This year’s judges include: Colleen Callander, CEO Sportsgirl; Georgie Harman, CEO Beyond Blue; Suzy Nicoletti, Managing Director Twitter Australia; and Chris Dutton, Founder and CEO The CEO Magazine.

The winners of the 2020 Executive of the Year Awards will be announced at the virtual awards ceremony on 12 November.
