Team behind Beyond The Valley & POOF DOOF launch new inclusive festival
Untitled Group, the Melbourne-based group behind Beyond The Valley and Pitch Music & Arts Festival, has teamed up with Melbourne’s gay rave night POOF DOOF to launch an inclusive beachfront day festival.
All Sorts is set to make its debut on January 27 at St Kilda’s iconic Riva beachfront.
It will be headlined by Seth Troxler, with Robin S (from 90’s hit Show Me Love), Ministry of Sound’s John Course, Sydney’s Queen of The Gays Sveta, POOF DOOF residents Argonaut, Casey Leaver and Gay Roberto with Ben Renna all set to feature.
They’ll be joined by a collection of Australia’s most iconic LGBTQI+ performers including, drag superstar ‘Art Simone’, non-binary performance hybrid ‘Dandrogyny’, The Huxleys (Will and Garrett) and POOF DOOF’s very own drag hostesses Doofettes.
All Sorts is being promoted as “a place where gender, sexuality, ethnicity, culture, religion & every other box you’ve ever been forced to tick is irrelevant.”
It’s set to feature a similar vibe and decor to the beloved POOF DOOF stage takeover at Beyond The Valley last month.
POOF DOOF owner Anthony Hocking said:
“After seven years it’s a huge thrill to be bringing for the first time, the very best of what we do into the daylight of Melbourne’s summer.
“For those who have partied around the planet at the likes of Milkshake Festival, we’re bringing a global all inclusive vibe to the local scene.”
Untitled Group is also the collective which represents boutique event brands Ability Fest, Grapevine Gathering and Melbourne electronic hub XE54.
Tickets on sale to general public Friday 18th January 12:00PM (AEDT).
