Spotify

To mark its sixth birthday, Spotify Australia has released a review of the past six years.

By offering to pay the artists and management directly, Spotify is opening the door to a scenario where acts no longer have to sign deals with record labels.

“Playlist promotion = increased popularity and income. Abusers don't deserve promotion and celebration, period.”

"As we’ve done before, we will remove content that violates that standard. We’re not talking about offensive, explicit, or vulgar content – we’re talking about hate speech."

"We screwed up."

“We rolled this out wrong and could have done a much better job."

Spotify has told XXXTentacion’s label and management that it will restore his music back to its playlists. No decision has been made with R. Kelly.

“The combination of the immediate and future monetary relief, along with the non-monetary benefits provided, constitutes a significant recovery."

The hip hop superstar expressed his frustrations towards the streaming service's new hateful content policy to its CEO, threatening to pull his own music from the service

It doesn't make any sense.
