Shazam

The new charts, which include Australia, aim to “capture the fastest-moving songs around the globe,” reads a statement from Shazam.

Australian acts have played a key part in the history of Shazam, which crunches some numbers to mark the occasion.

Apple customers who use its music recognition feature in the iPhone Control Center will find it a much easier experience.

The tool can pay creators, event promoters, mix suppliers like festivals, club nights and indie labels, and multiple artists who are part of the track.

Shazam has also revealed that Tones & I's 'Dance Monkey' is still the most Shazamed song of all time.

Shazam hits two new milestones, as users fire off one billion tags each month and all-time IDs pass 50 billion.

Dolly Parton has reworked her '9 to 5' song to help push both Apple Music and Shazam across the globe.

Masked Wolf and Cat & Calmell join 48 other international acts on Shazam's 2021 predictions playlist.

There's another new chart to measure consumers' engagement with music.

For the first time, the music identifer breaks out the most Shazamed tracks across Australia and in its cities and smaller towns.
