Sydney Luna Park offers naming rights to Big Top concert venue
Sydney’s 1930s entertainment theme park, Luna Park is offering the naming rights to its 2500-capacity Big Top entertainment venue.
Each year the Big Top hosts 75 events covering rock concerts, to ballet, gaming, sports, family entertainment and dance, to awards.
The move is part of Luna Park’s decision to recently bring in branding partners, and signed Sydney based Waterfront, as its commercial partnerships agency.
Waterfront founder and director Sean Pickwell said, “The Big Top’s iconic location, marketing spend, and wide audience mix, provides a rare opportunity for a major brand to take a leadership brand position in the Sydney market.”
Branding is also being secured for all its annual events including New Years Eve.
Luna Park has 1 million visitors a year and brands itself as the city’s only theme park to be open all year round.
Two years ago it created a Tourism Manager role for tourism executive Mark Taylor to market the venue to Australian and international tourism and business sectors.
It has also been investing heavily in new technology with a fibre optic backbone throughout the park, the latest WiFi technology, digital signage, and presented their capability to stream and broadcast, ready for the Video and Digital explosion in live events.
Waterfront has clients in the lifestyle and corporate sectors.
In the music field, it has for eleven years also been overseeing the commercial partnerships of Roundhouse Entertainment’s A Day On The Green winery shows.
