SXSW announce meet ‘n’ greet sessions for prospective attendees

UPDATE: These events have been cancelled. More information can be found here.

Have you ever entertained the idea of heading along to SXSW and knocking the socks off the big names in the music industry? Then you might want to head along to one of the conference’s newly-announced meet ‘n’ greet sessions.

For more than 30 years now, artists, industry insiders, and music fans from around the world have flocked to Austin, Texas for the annual South By Southwest conference.

With so many now-iconic musicians being discovered at the event (James Blunt, John Mayer, and The Polyphonic Spree to name a few), it goes without saying that an appearance at SXSW can lead to incredible things in your career.

Now, as folks start to look toward the 2020 event, SXSW organisers have announced a series of meet ‘n’ greet Q&A sessions for prospective attendees.

Taking place in Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane next month, these three free sessions will allow anyone thinking abut heading along to the annual conference to answer any questions they have.

Featuring four SXSW veterans on hand to reveal tips, techniques, and secrets to navigating the conference for maximum results, these meet ‘n’ greet sessions will also serve as introduction for anyone who might want to participate, or simply network with those who have attended in the past.

The 2019 edition of SXSW saw a vast contingency of Aussie artists showing Texas how we do it down here, including Skegss, Amyl & The Sniffers, Tia Gostelow, WAAX, WAFIA, The Gooch Palms, and Angie McMahon, who took home the coveted Grulke Award for her amazing efforts.
