Swift continues to set records with Australian tour
Taylor Swift will be making history next year when she arrives down under for the Australian leg of her 1989 World Tour.
Set to perform in November and December 2015, Swift will be the first female solo artist to play stadiums in a back to back tour of Australia.
Promoter Frontier Touring announced that the 1989 World Tour will be hitting Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne, and with Swifts latest LP opening at #1 on the ARIA Albums chart, the upcoming shows will see the pop star’s notoriety rise even higher.
Data from last year’s Red Tour shows that the demand for Swift was greatest in Sydney with 34% of sales. Melbourne followed with 28%, while Brisbane and Perth came in with 24% and 14% respectively. The figures gathered by ticket marketplace Viagogo uphold Swift's decision to snub Perth this year, however she is taking in Adelaide this time.
