Stace Cadet Signs With Warner Music Australia, Medium Rare
Stace Cadet lifts off with a new major label deal, fresh music, and the promise of more to come.
The producer, DJ and vocalist joins the roster of Warner Music Australia, TMN can exclusively reveal, alongside his existing reps at Medium Rare Recordings.
To celebrate the new relationship, Stace Cadet drops “Light Me Up,” which sees the Adelaide artist take lead vocals for the first time on one of his own releases.
The bouncy electronic tune, which was teased during the Sydney New Year’s Eve fireworks display, “will be the first of many more artist releases via the partnership,” comments Dan Rosen, president of Warner Music Australasia, “and I am absolutely thrilled to welcome Stasi into the Warner Music family.”
Adds Rosen, “As we continue to build our local dance and EDM roster, I am incredibly excited to partner with the team at Medium Rare Recordings for the release of Stasi’s forthcoming singles.”
It’s the start of a new musical odyssey for Stace (born Stasi Kotaras), one that sees the musician find his own voice — and new lane.
“I am so excited to show the world what I have been working towards for the last year. To finally jump on the mic and play instruments as the performer rather than spinning records behind the decks will allow me to intimately connect with my audience on a deeper level,” Stace comments in a statement, issued today (Jan. 11).
Stace’s breakthrough came with the 2020 tech house tune “Energy” with KLP, which has accumulated upwards of 40 million streams worldwide, is ARIA platinum certified and bagged an ARIA Award nomination for best dance release.
Tastemakers around the globe have spun Stace’s tunes, from BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong & Charlie Hedges, to Claptone, Anna Lunoe, John Summit, SIDEPIECE, Oliver Heldens, Armin van Burren, CID & Wax Motif and others.
