Spotify introduce ‘stats for all your songs’ feature

Spotify introduce ‘stats for all your songs’ feature

Previously, Spotify play counts for songs listened to less than a thousand times were hidden from view, meaning that both 6 listens and 998 listens would display the underwhelming <1000 – not the sharpest analytical tool, really.

Spotify have today announced a number of new features in its Spotify For Artists hub, including the ability to “understand how all your songs are performing—not just the ones with more than 1000 streams.”

Below, we’ve outlined the other new features in much the way Spotify has presented them (okay, we copy/pasted from their press release).

Have a dig around the new features here; if are yet to sign up to Spotify For Artists, you can do so at that link. It’s becoming clear that offering stats and analytics to artists and management teams is a huge part of Spotify’s future plans.

Here’s what else is new:

Followers on your timeline
Followers stream new releases a lot more than average listeners—and they hear your latest music and upcoming shows in our recommendation emails. Now it’s super easy to track your most engaged listeners with this new graph.

New timeline filters
We’ve made your stats timeline a lot more actionable to help you better understand how your music is resonating across the Spotify universe.

Phasing out fan stats
You told us this was a confusing stat. So we removed this while we work on new ways to help you learn about your most passionate listeners.
