Soothsayer partners with !K7 Music for Europe & UK distro

Aussie music label Soothsayer has signed a distribution deal for the UK and Europe with Berlin-based !K7 Music.

The move comes as Soothsayer continues to extend their wider team to help establish the Mushroom Group imprint in those overseas markets.

!K7 Music was founded in 1985 and has offices in Berlin, London and New York. The label will work with Mushroom’s London-based team to push Soothsayer artists into new ears via digital distribution, and also by using existing relationships with bespoke record stores.

“We’re thrilled to link up with the Soothsayer team to help them further build and expand their profile and support all the label’s fantastic releases in Europe,” Adrian Hughes, head of artist & label services at !K7 said.

“Chris has a great A&R vision for the label with an ambitious and professional team around him and we are looking forward to creating a strong partnership in these challenging times.”

!K7 Music has also promised territory specific strategic planning around releases.

It houses five labels including !K7 Records, Strut, AUS, 7K! and Ever Records, along with an Artist & Label Services arm.

“This is a really exciting next step in the Soothsayer story,” Chris Rigney, A&R Manager at Soothsayer said.

“The label is 4 years old now and setting up a strong foundation for our artists in such a key market is integral to continue to grow the roster while continuing to develop our artists to ensure success not just at home but abroad.”

Soothsayer’s signings around the globe include ALTA, Dro Carey, CC:DISCO!, Juno Mamba, Love Deluxe, new signing Jonny Reebok, as well as KUČKA and Willaris. K (ANZ Only).
