Sony/ATV inks worldwide publishing deal with Eagles’ Joe Walsh

Sony/ATV has signed a comprehensive, worldwide deal with music icon Joe Walsh.

He served as the the frontman of James Gang for two separate stints between 1968 and 2006, in between which he released three solo records including Barnstorm.

Walsh then became the guitarist for Eagles in 1975, and since has become an influential solo artist his own right.

His latest studio album was Analog Man which was released in 2012.

Sony/ATV will now manage his comprehensive catalogue which includes classics like ‘Rocky Mountain Way’, ‘All Night Long’, ‘Life’s Been Good’, ‘Lucky That Way’, and Eagles tracks ‘In The City’ and ‘Life In The Fast Lane’.

“Joe Walsh is a musical giant and we are honored that he is entrusting his incredible catalog of songs with Sony/ATV,” said Sony/ATV chairman and CEO Martin Bandier.

“I know all our guitar-playing executives – and there are many of them – look at him as a hero, but he is not only one of the all-time great guitarists but a terrific songwriter as well.”

“Sony/ATV Music Publishing has a great team,” said Walsh. “I’m happy to be onboard.”

Joe’s vast career catalogue, both solo and with Barnstorm and the Eagles, have found the perfect home with Marty and Sony/ATV,” his manager Irving Azoff added.

Walsh has worked alongside the likes of Kylie Minogue, The Wanted, Christina Aguilera, Queen Latifah and Ace Of Base over more than 30 years as a musician.
