Sony Music Entertainment Australia helps launch Lemon Tree Records

Sony Music Entertainment Australia and Melbourne-based artist management Lemon Tree Music have jointly launched Lemon Tree Records to find and develop domestic acts.

Founded in 2013 by Regan Lethbridge and David Morgan, it has set up global careers for Tash Sultana and Pierce Brothers.

Denis Handlin AO, chairman & CEO, Australia & New Zealand and president, Asia, Sony Music Entertainment, comments, “I am thrilled to welcome Regan and David into the Sony Music family as we partner with them to launch Lemon Tree Records.

“Working closely with them through our relationship with Tash Sultana, they have proven to be highly talented individuals with a tremendous focus on their artists and the business.

“Maddy Jane is an excellent first signing to the label and we are looking forward to being a part of her journey as well as building an exciting new roster with Lemon Tree Records.”

Lethbridge and Morgan add, “We are excited to officially partner with Sony Music who are simply the best in the business.

Tasmania-hailed Jane, 22, releases her debut EP Not Human At All on Friday (March 2).

It comes in the wake of singles Thank You And Sorry’, ‘No Other Way’ and ‘Drown It Out’ receiving high rotation on triple j and an acclaimed showcase at BIGSOUND.

She is about to embark on a national tour that sees her play intimate headliners in Sydney and Melbourne.
